Introducing the latest member of the greatest tin toy marching band in the world...Sousa. I couldn't find any good references of how the various parts of sousaphone were connected to each other, especially from the back. You have pipes/tubing going everywhere, so I just used a little bit of creative license and winged it. There is a kink in the tubing in the last image, that's to avoid it cutting into the helmet....or it's the result of some physical mishap :)

This member happens to be the most normal of all the band members in the Tin Marching Band. However, he can't stand insects at all and in particular those that can fly. If he hears a buzzing noise, he will start swinging that flag pole like there's no tomorrow. So, be warned and stand a good distance away unless you want him to kill the fly that's near your head :)

Introducing the leader of the Tin Toy Marching Band. His one job is make sure everyone is at their best and ready to perform. He loves his job but can be overwhelmed by the whole process and on those rare occasions he might get so confused, he forgets which direction to march.

The third member of the Tin Marching Band is the cymbalist. What he lacks in musical talent he makes up for with his dancing skills. There is one little problem, he is prone to panic attacks caused by his fear of large crowds.

The little tin drummer gets a new band member, the tin bass drummer :)

Wow...Lightwave 9.6 was released on Monday and now today, a count down has started for something huge. I hope it's huge, a 64bit Mac version and or news about what's down the line for Lightwave 10. Maybe even starting LW 10 production/beta process....one can only dream :) Here is the link for the countdown page: Countdown webpage Anybody modeled a working time machine...I need to fast forward time and be there already :)

These are quick and dirty morphs for the eyes and mouth...done in a few minutes. There seems to be potential in these, I might make more and maybe even animate the little guy in the future.

Ooooo.....more metal and HDR lighting :) He is made out of tin, but that won't stop him trying to be a real person and to do his job, beating the drum. The problem is, the drum doesn't like to be hit and will constantly try to outrun the little tin drummer. It's a good thing the drum has a wheel of his own :)

I looked through my Yogi bear project and found a version that I wanted to take in another direction. The first image on the left is the base model of Yogi (at an early stage) and how he slowly changed into a new character. Still more detail to add on the face but it looks like it's getting there. All I have to do now, is wait for inspiration to kick in and finish the rest of him. I'm not sure what kind of body to go for but that's half the fun :)
