Curly Fuzz Poodle: Low Poly

Image
This lowpoly thing is addictive & the best part is, I combine two separate textures in Lightwave3D to get that painted paper look. Also I'm not much of a UV mapper so I left the seams in there as well :) Here's the original version based on a design by John K if you want to check it out.

How much can Yogi Bear?

Not much more...by the looks of things. Check out John K Stuff: No More Need For Eyes for more images of Yogi in the 3D....Och. I thought I'd resurface my Yogi Bear for fun.....and no fur in sight :)

Curly Fuzz Poodle: more fun

Here's a turntable of Curly and a Photoshopped version. He looks so funky and ready for the dance floor, watch out ladies :)

Curly Fuzz Poodle: variations in texture

I came upon this post on John K's blog . The designs are very rough, sketchy and full of energy...wonderful stuff, everyone should follow his blog. Anyway, I just had to try and model him...I presume it's a he :) The sketches were more an inspiration than anything else. The hands give him a feeling of a fighter, someone not to be messed with. After all, he seems like he has been picked on and teased by all the other cartoon characters for years. The balls of fuzz are just there as placeholders for now.
